DRIVER
Playstation Review - by Dave Blackwell

In this creative take on the driving genre, Driver proves itself. The main character, Tanner, is an undercover cop trying to get deep inside the mob to uncover the plot to assassinate the president. The story mode is filled with many objectives such as dropping people off at certain locations, while other mission perameters are to get to the bank to pick up criminals and drive them to safety while fleeing from the police.

The name of the game here is fun. While most of this is in story mode, there are options such as mini games. One option that is very cool is "take a ride mode". Basically, to ride around with no objectives in mind but pass a copper and the race is on! This mode is also good for practice while there is no time limit.

If you are looking for a laid back good time I recomend you pick this one up if you haven't already because at the new reduced $20 price tag, it can't be beat.

MARIO TENNIS
Nintendo 64 Review - by Dave Blackwell

While I'm not a big tennis fan to say the least, I was nevertheless jazzed to see this game come out. Why? One word, Camelot. The developers behind Hot Shots Golf and Mario Golf. Somehow, some way, they deliver the funnest experience in sports games.

With the usual Nintendo appeal of characters to choose from, other factors even outshine that. First of all, the graphics are nice to look at. The control of this game is where it's at while letting the player cheat at times to hit the ball. While Virtua Tennis for the ever-thinking Dreamcast was for the most part enjoyable, MT also has more speech suprisingly and more options. If wondering whether to get this or Virtua Tennis, you will have a hard time no doubt but in the end MT will sustain your interest. With BIG N's wonderful character charm and options, Nintendo has yet another winner on their hands. And to think people believed that the N64 was already dead and buried! Well "not yet" in this reviewer's mind.

CHOCOBO'S MYSTERIOUS DUNGEON 2
Playstation Review - by Dave Blackwell

This is the first Chocobo game released here in the States. While the "2" in the name suggests a sequel, only for Japan. When it comes down to it, this is a dungeon-crawling game, but with a big cute SquareSoft touch to it. The real beauty comes in the form of the CG segments. Square once again does a fabulous job of making their characters look great in CG.

In the beginning of this adventure, Chocobo teams up with his friend Mog (which many will know from previous Final Fantasy games. Remember FF3? Yeah, that was mog on the front of the box). This game doesn't use analog for control as it doesn't really require it. When fighting, all you need to do is tap toward an enemy and hit the action button. I recomend this game if you want a fun time with very cute graphics and eye-candy movies.

SUPER PUZZLE FIGHTER 2 TURBO
Playstation Review - by Dave Blackwell

For many, this game serves as the cult classic of puzzle games. I couldn't agree more. While the popular census is on Tetris for the best puzzle game ever, I have to go with Puzzle Fighter. Sure, Tetris is a great puzzle game but this reviewer finds that PF serves up more excitement the Tetris ever could.

With eight initial characters to choose from the Capcom Universe including the tried and true Ken and Ryu, there are characters from the Darkstalkers' games like Morrigan and Felicia. Each character has his "pattern" to drop on the other characters. It comes down to breaking different colored blocks to crush your oponents.

While there is a learning curve, I promise you will find yourself with a pounding heart and sweaty palms, ingredients for any great game. To fully maximize this game, grab a friend and play versus mode. Nothing beats the moment you drop a 99 on your opponent! While not an official greatest hits games, this game is priced at $20 so do yourself a favor and pick this instant party game up... NOW!! Sigh... if only us devoted gamers could convince Capcom to release a sequel...
