Jim Keeshen's Questionable Ethics
As a professor, Jim Keeshen was under a duty to adhere to
SMC's faculty ethics and anti-discrimination and
anti-harassment policies. Despite this obligation, Keeshen
engaged in copyright theft, retaliation, discrimination, and harassment. On
March 1, 2006, he threatened to come after his students and have them
kicked out of school.

Jim Keeshen's Wheeling & Dealing
Not only did Jim Keeshen employ those at AET as his cheap
labor force, he made financial deals with the program's
industry partners. Additonally, he pocketed approximately
$83,000 via secret consulting contracts for a multi-language
CD-ROM that teaches one how to ask directions to the restroom.

In August 2005, Jim Keeshen admitted that he was merely using
Santa Monica College to finish his Day of the Dead animated short.
He referred to AET as a vortex. He held
contempt for both those he worked with as well as his students. Read

Drive-By Litigation
Jim Keeshen has sued several people. His biggest lawsuit was
against Family Guy creator Seth MacFarlane and 20th Century
Fox. Keeshen has also forced SMC to expend considerable legal
funds due to his tortious behavior. Why does the school
continue to bankroll Keeshen's legal defense? Is it that SMC
has ratified and encouraged his behavior?

eBay Shopping Extravaganza

Jim Keeshen found endless excuses to avoid paying his hard-working
students. He cried dire poverty, claiming he was unable
to pay his rent or money owed to the IRS. Yet, under the eBay
handle of planemania, Keeshen spent
the last eighteen months on an all out online shopping spree,
buying model airplanes and Nazi paraphernalia.
