SMC AET Profile: James Keeshen

James "Jim" Keeshen is a full-time
professor of computer animation at Santa Monica College's
Academy of Entertainment and Technology (AET). However,
Keeshen used his companies, Jim Keeshen Productions and
Studio Animatics, to employ AET students as cheap slave
labor for his own financial gain in his commercial projects.
Keeshen also obtained secret consultant contracts and a
questionable sabbatical. Why did AET help him to doctor
internship and hire records?

SMC AET Profile: Jeannie Novak
[Website: INDIESPACE]
Jeannie Novak formerly
taught several classes at Santa Monica College's AET campus,
including Game Development, eBusiness, and Project Management.
Jeannie authored several books on game design, game
development, and artificial intelligence. She also runs a website
called Indiespace. She also records music and is
an accomplished pianist. Jeannie is an avid game enthusiast and teaches
an online course in Second Life.

SMC Key Profile: Maggie LeDuc

Maggie LeDuc is an accomplished
athlete, photographer, artist, entrepreneur, and educator. Maggie
has devoted her life to counseling and
teaching. Maggie is a full-time professor at SMC, where she has
taught surfing, rock climbing, hiking, spinning, weight training,
and general fitness. Maggie's creative endeavors include photography,
designing custom jewelry, and basket and gourd art. Maggie is
truly one of our best teachers at SMC.

SMC Key Profile: Yvette Sotelo
[Website: THE TWEAKERS PROJECT]
Yvette Sotelo is a student at Santa
Monica College who has studied animation, Spanish, golf, and
physical education. Yvette is a Public Access Coordinator
for the City of West Hollywood. She has worked on various
documentary projects and an independent animated short film.
Currently, she is the Production Coordinator, Cameraperson,
and Editor on a documentary entitled "Tweakers," which aims to
bring public awareness to the dangers of Crystal Meth addiction.

SMC Key Profile: Jeff Higley
[Website: THE SIEGE]
Jeff Higley, a
champion of student rights at SMC, is
perhaps the most knowledgeable person about the provisions
of the Ralph M. Brown Open Meeting Act. As a student, Jeff
has been active in a number of campus clubs, including
Campus Airwaves and the Debate Club. He was also a writer
for the Corsair school newspaper. Jeff has been accepted
to Berkeley for the spring 2007 semester. See how Jeff has
awakened the SMC community.

SMC Key Profile: Steve Drury

Steve Drury is a student at East Los
Angeles College who cross-enrolled at SMC to take the online
ET61 History of Animation course in which he received an "A."
Steve has recently received his AA degree and has transferred
to Cal State University, Dominguez Hills. Steve has also finished
3 L.A. Marathons and 4 Long Beach Half-Marathons. Steve enjoys
hiking, running, swimming, and fishing. He vigorously supports
the California Public Records Act.

going to get you to the letter of the law and have you either kicked out or whatever other consequences
they can do to you in terms of doing this. Got it?"
